FAQs

Below are answers to the most frequently asked questions about Ultimate Farmer. As the project is still in pre-development, some details may evolve over time. This page is regularly updated to reflect the current status, priorities, and direction of the game. If you have a question not covered here, feel free to reach out via the contact form.

  • Ultimate Farmer is a farming simulation project currently in pre-development. It aims to explore a more realistic, physics-driven and technically advanced farming experience using Unreal Engine.

  • No. Ultimate Farmer is an independent project, created from the ground up. While it’s inspired by classic farming sims, it’s built with a different technical vision and is not affiliated with any existing franchise.

  • The project is led by a developer with experience in modding, simulation workflows, and real-time development tools. It is currently self-funded and supported by collaborators from different fields.

  • Ultimate Farmer is in pre-development. That means systems are being defined, core technologies tested, and foundational gameplay logic developed. There is no playable version yet.

  • The game is being developed in Unreal Engine, taking advantage of features like Chaos physics, Nanite, and AI-supported tools for procedural content and world-building.

  • Modding is part of the long-term vision, but not a priority during pre-development. Once core systems are stable, the goal is to make Ultimate Farmer accessible to the modding community through structured tools and documentation.

  • That’s a valid concern, and it’s something we’re taking seriously from the very beginning. While Unreal Engine 5 doesn’t currently offer the same out-of-the-box modding simplicity as some older engines, it absolutely can support modding with the right systems in place.

Ultimate Farmer is being built with modularity and future modding support in mind, not as an afterthought. We’re exploring ways to expose configuration layers, build extendable systems, and allow for asset injection, scripting hooks, and external content loading in future development phases.

The goal is not just to allow modding, but to build a community of creators who can meaningfully shape the game’s evolution. We invite experienced modders and developers to collaborate and help us define the most realistic path forward.

  • There is no release date at this time. The focus is on building a strong technical foundation rather than rushing toward a launch. Updates will be shared regularly as milestones are reached.

  • Yes, but only when the project reaches a meaningful, playable stage. Early access will be invite-only at first, followed by wider testing phases. You can express interest via our contact form or newsletter.

  • There are no donation or crowdfunding channels open at this time. If you’d like to support the project, the best way is to follow us, share updates, and engage with the community. You can also visit our Support Project page for more ways to support us.

  • If you’re a developer, artist, modder, or subject matter expert in farming or simulation, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch via our Support Project page.

  • Licensing real-world equipment is not currently part of the pre-development scope. However, we will actively explore this possibility if there is commercial interest or industry support down the line.

  • The aim is to strike a balance between technical realism and enjoyable gameplay. During early development, the focus is on core systems such as soil interaction, machinery physics, and crop dynamics, rather than simplified or arcade-style mechanics. At a later stage, the goal is to give players control over how they want to experience the game, with the option to choose between a more realistic simulation mode or a lighter, arcade-style approach.

  • You can follow updates here on the website, as well as on our official social channels. A development blog, roadmap, and testing announcements will be published regularly as the project evolves.

  • Yes, we plan to invite a small group of testers once the first playable prototype is ready. If you’re interested in providing feedback during early development, you’ll be able to sign up via our website once testing applications open.

  • We’re open to exploring future partnerships with agricultural manufacturers, equipment brands, and technology providers. While licensing is not part of the current phase, we’re happy to start early conversations. Please reach out via the Licensing page.

  • Yes. You’re welcome to create videos, blogs, or discussion posts using publicly available material. For access to early visuals or to request interviews or quotes, please visit the Support Project page to request access to the Press Centre directly.
